Lincoln Pictures
This is my 1966 Lincoln Continental the day after I purchased it, freshly washed
A pair of front views of the Lincoln. The windshield washers were put in their correct position as soon as we figured out you can move them without having to start the car. At this point the car hadn't been started.
Here are a couple of pictures of the car being aired out to get rid of some of the "antique" smell. Not only does the car have suicide doors, the engine hood also opens in the opposite direction.
Here is a somewhat fuzzy pic of me in the Lincoln. You can see some of the rust that needs to be worked on.
To the left is a rear view of the Lincoln after the windows were tinted. Above is a pic of me driving the Lincoln in the driveway. The hood is up because we had to use a gas jug to supply fuel.
On the left is a picture of the Lincoln with some bodywork done on the front. The windows are all tinted here, and there is some black paint indicated other problem areas of the body. On the right is a pic of the car with all of the bodywork done, primed, and waiting for paint.
Here is a picture of the car after it was painted. I decided to be a bit different and painted it flat black. With the paint and the tinted windows it really looks mean. In the picture I haven't put the stainless trim on the car yet.
Here are a couple of pictures after I put all of the stainless trim back on. parts of the car look glossy black, but that is only because I had just washed it and it was still wet.

This one is from the back corner, a nice angle.

This one is the front corner, also a good angle.

Well, wouldn't you know that as soon as I get the car looking good the transmission lets go?? The forward gears stopped working, leaving me with only reverse.

So, I did the only thing I could: A reverse burnout!

This picture is just starting the second one (you can see the marks from the first where it slid sideways).

This pic is from the back about mid-burn. If you squint, you can see the car.

The bottom pic is post-burn. I stopped because I couldn't see and the smoke in the car kind of made me a little ill.
