Deutschtown is located where you can live without a car nestled just below the skyline of downtown Pittsburgh.

It's home to regional attractions including Photo Antiquities and the National Aviary. The growth of East Allegheny dates back to the early1800's, as the City of Allegheny prospered and expanded eastward. Since 1978, the East Allegheny Community Council (EACC) has promoted civic causes and development of dozens of new and renovated houses. Much of the neighborhood is designated a City Historic District and the entire neighborhood is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Residents enjoy community activities throughout the year, including a Pumpkinfest, a Christmas party for seniors, weekly flea markets, and a weekly farmers' market in East Commons Park from May through November.

Our houses range from small and simple to large and grand. Our residents range from young to old, rich to poor, black to white, straight to gay, and single persons to large families. You will fit in perfectly.
