Above is my 10-year old, 20-pound Schnoodle Toby wearing the prototype Pet Ruffle Guard on the second day following his surgery for bladder stones. As well as his incision and stitches, the Pet Ruffle Guard was protecting a “pain patch” on Toby’s side. This, of course, was done with his vet’s approval.

Across from Toby is Emmy, a small Cockapoo wearing her Ruffle Guard placed forward over her head. This is the "sure thing" way for your pet to wear the Ruffle. In some cases it can be worn cape style, as Toby has it, and I believe that is the most comfortable fit. But if you try this, be sure to watch your pet closely to make sure the Ruffle is doing its job in preventing access to the injured area.

You may want to buy Pet Ruffle Guards in pairs so that you will always have a clean one on hand. They are washable for those times when they have been dragged through the dirt while your pet sniffs at the ground or if food gets on it. The cotton/poly blend fabric will not fade, wrinkle, or shrink and can be washed and dried with any other clothing. Currently I have a pretty good selection of colors in various prints.
