Chris Cushman creates high
quality, authentic Medieval, Renaissance and Black Powder era
goods. Now we have pictures to show you some of what he has done!
(Besides being the artiste for the Penguin Arms Armoury, he teaches
fencing, volunteers in the local schools to teach about Medieval
and Renaissance life, times, arts and skills, and is a professional
photographer, too.)
The photo pages take awhile
to download:
Cinquedea, Small
Sword, Damascus Blade, Tiny Treasures , Items
on Hand, Links
Most blades come with sheaths
unless otherwise specified.
Separate sheath pricing depends on the size and type of the blade.
Sword sheaths start at $65.
Knife and dagger sheaths start at $35.
All sheaths are hand stitched leather, riveting can be requested.
So, I asked him, "Just what is it
you do?"
And he said, "I do exactly...
...what I feel like most of the time!"
"I create swords,
knives, daggers,
armor, period blackpowder weapons, eating utensils, leather work
(all hand stitched), boxes, jewelry (generally one-of-a-kind
pieces), costuming, masks, period furniture, well... Just about
anything for which a drawing or picture can be provided. (haven't
tried a chain yet)."
"Let's say I'm a commission artist
with a taste for things not run-of-the-mill. (I don't do crochet
[or plastic] unless someone pays a LOT of money.)"
