Pema Tallahassee is a Tibetan Buddhist sangha
in the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
Our teachers are Venerable Khenchen Khenpo Palden Sherab Rinpoche and Venerable
Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche. Our
sole purpose is to support each other in practice and to support the works of
our teachers. We are part of the Padmasambhava Buddhist Center. We meet on Tuesday evenings at 6:30PM at 1103
Hays Street, Tallahassee, FL. See
the Practice Calendar for practice sessions and
special practice days, and our Yahoo Group for special
announcements, networking, etc. Also take a peek at the Pema Tallahassee blog for a
look at past, present and future events-- as well as miscellaneous information
about our community and its tradition. Practice starts promptly at 6:30PM. Please arrive early by 6:00PM if you
are new to Tibetan Buddhism and require introduction and orientation. Practices include calm abiding meditation,
Heart Sutra recitation and other traditional practices that are open to
everyone regardless of their spiritual background or their previous study and
exposure to Tibetan Buddhism. New
people should expect chanting, mantra recitation, visualization and silent
meditation. |
