Marriage and death notices found in newspapers can be a significant and valuable source of genealogical information. This is particularly true when these events have pre-dated the onset of formalized record keeping by the local government (1898 for Baltimore county).

Contained within this site are transcripts of some marriage and death notices printed in 19th century Baltimore County, Maryland newspapers. At present, notices for the period 1850-1859 are available. Other records will be gradually added (in a chronological order) until the entire second half of the 19th century is transcribed.
