Minute Men and the Women Who Love Them is a trivia team started in 2001 by Alex Brooks.  The first year was just a group of friends from Fergus Falls Community College who had gone their seperate ways and deicide that trivia weekend was just as good as any to hang out at Alex's apartment and get drunk.  And so the Legacy began.
That first year they called themselves "Suckey Suckey Boom Boom" after a joke from FFCC days.  With only a team of 6 (Alex, Nate Smith, Dawn Bacon, Ryan Anderson, Clarence Cole, and Mike Grage) and one computer (who's internet kept going down) they survived that first weekend and realized that they were hooked.
The following year the group expanded into a new apartment and changed their name to "Please, No More Poetry" A reference to a line in the movie Tank Girl.  They again made it though that year with a slightly larger group of 8 core people and a few drop in's plus 3 computers and a small stack of books.
Entering their third year (2003) they are learning to hone their trivia skills.  They are anticipating 10 core members (one of which is playing via the internet from Yuma, Arizona) and several drop in's.  Expectations are modest as we still can't compete with the OLD teams (you know who you are) but we expect good results and wish eveyone who is competing in KVSC's trivia weekend the best of luck!  See you at the awards ceremony!
