President's Message President's Message

While we make New Year's resolutions, don't forget to make one to the Paradise Republican Women's Club.  A resolution to attend meetings and participate in a committee should be on everyone's list.

Nationwide, Republicans did well in the fall 2002 elections, but before we sit on our laurels, let's not forget what happened in our own state of Arizona.  We now have a Democratic governor and attorney general.  We almost had a democrat (female at that) in the House of Representatives from our neighbor, Fountain Hills. Although 2003 is not a big election year, it does not mean we don't have work to do.  This is a good time to study up on issues, policies and positions of our party.  Our Program Chair, the Hon.  Jini Simpson is committed to bringing us quality educational programs this year.  You won't want to miss any of them, so mark your calendars for our meetings for the year.  To get the most out of our club - become active in it.

Remember our objectives:  a) To promote an informed electorate through political education;  b) to foster loyalty to the Republican Party and to promote its ideals;  c) to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through active political participation;  d) to support the objectives and policies of the Republican National Committee and to work for the election of the Republican Party's nominees;  e) to promote programs supporting community and civi activities.

I look forward to working with each of you to meet our objectives and make 2003 a prosperous and informative year for all.
