Carrabelle, Florida on the Gulf Coast

Located on the "Forgotten Coast" of the Florida Panhandle, Carrabelle is all that you will see in this website and more! It is located 60 miles south of Tallahassee and 85 miles east of Panama City. Beautiful St. George Island with it's miles of sun drenched beaches make this a favorite vacation spot. From the historic Crooked River Lighthouse to the beautiful white sand beaches, the area has something for all age groups. Be sure to check the Information page for links and phone numbers to local areas of interest and business listings. Apalachicola has a number of historic homes from the 1800's and a Seafood Festival the first weekend in November each year. St. George Island and Cape San Blas feature the most beautiful and pristine beaches found anywhere in Florida. There are several National and State Parks in the area.

Driving US Highway 98 through Franklin County is scenic and follows the shoreline most of the way. There are no traffic lights, malls or big shopping centers. The Carrabelle Waterfront Festival is in April of each year. There are fishing tournaments, boat shows and more throughout the year. Fishing is still the industry and pleasure of the area. Fresh shrimp and other seafood are available right off the boat.
