The free server is no longer available. Google and Virtual Earth have been updating their map services on the average of every 6 weeks, making it impossible to maintain this as a free download. And to make matters worse, Virtual Earth has pulled the plug on their old versions. Without the backward-compatibility, the server application no longer works. However, free personal-use accounts are available on the test server.
