How to make an accessible version of the Odeon website

Download the Perl code using the link below. Save it as odeon.cgi in a cgi-bin directory. Set the file permissions correctly (if you're using a graphical system, make sure 'Executable' is checked for every type of user: if you're using a shell, type chmod 755 odeon.cgi). Make sure your web host (or your local server) has the Perl LWP library installed. Then just open the address (e.g. www.fredsworld.com/cgi-bin/odeon.cgi) in your favourite web-browser, and away you go!

The real Odeon website is at www.odeon.co.uk. It does all sorts of exciting things that this code doesn't, e.g. online ticket booking, pictures, trailers, complete inability to run under any browser other than Internet Explorer.

Kudos to Matthew Somerville who first came up with the idea of an Accessible Odeon site (and whose site was much prettier than this). Nonetheless, the code below is completely independent of Matthew's creation, which was taken down after threatening letters from Odium.

Spread this code!

Download odeon.cgi (about 8k of hastily cobbled-together Perl)
