As there are so few good, big pictures of Beast Wars and other animal transformer toys on the net, I decided to take pictures of my own collection. My collection is nowadays rather extensive in case of normal Hasbro releases. Japanese figures released by Takara I have much less and convention exclusives I don't have any.
There is the basic info of toylines and notes what toys were available in Europe and more precisely Nordic countries Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. But for further information I recommend the links below.
I've used Ben's World of Transformers, Dave's Beast Wars Transformers Page and TF Archive Japanese BW series listing as my reference. Nordic TransFans Associaton message board is the biggest source of information about what was released in Nordic countries. If you notice errors, broken links etc. or can give some extra infromation, contact me.
About pictures. I've tried taking different kind of pictures and sometimes transformed the toys a bit different than in the instructions. If I have more than one version of a mold, individual pictures are shown in the series it was released, but the comparison pictures are placed below the first release.
On this page are located pictures of early Beast Wars toys, often called original beasts divided to size groups basics, deluxes, megas, ultras.
Also on this page are pictures of
Japanese Beast Wars, Beast Wars Second, Fuzors.
More pictures about Tranmetals, Transmetals2, Fox Kids recolours, Beast Wars Metals, Beast Wars Neo, Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise, Armada, Dinobots, Trasformers Universe, Robotmasters, Energon, and Cybertron lines on second page here.

Recently Takara released new basic-sized molds of Megatron and Convoy (Optimus Primal) in their Robotmasters subline. Molds are more cartoon accurate and very nice, but I still prefer the original ultra-sized versions. Individual pictures can be found under Robotmasters-line, but I decided to take also some comparison pictures.
Propably the most interesting early Beast Wars molds were the two combiner teams.
My collection of BWII toys is incomplete, especially robots having vehicle alternate modes. BWII catalogue can be found from TFArchive.

First waves of Beast Wars toys became available in 1996 in USA, 1997 in Middle-Europe and 1998 in Nordic countries and UK.
At first there were only basic and deluxe sized toys available. Fortunately bat Optimus Primal and alligator Megatron didn't make it to the cartoon. OP % Megatron two-pack wan't sold in Nordic countries.

Already in this phaze some molds were rereleased in new colours, names and personalities. Because toys were released in a short span of time in Europe, some of the toys Blackarachnia, Buzzsaw, Grimlock, Tigatron and Wolfang weren't available here. Other unreleased toys were rereleases of the molds, but slightly remolded K-9 was chosen over original Wolfang mold.

Wolfang's mold was rereleased with some modifications and new colours as K-9. As remolding is quite rare in transformers lines, I decided to take some comparison pictures. Clearest differences are the shape of tail, back/shield, different mutant masks and the size of upper robot body. There are also minor changes in details, for example the shape of animal legs and dog muzzle.

Japanese Beast Wars
Takara, toy company producing and selling transformers toys in Japan, released at first a bit limited selection of Beast Wars toys released in North America. Occasionally colour schemes were a bit different from their western counter parts. Cheetor's and Tigatron's mold was released as a "new" Black Panther toy.

Beast Wars Second
In Japan cartoons are shown faster than in western countries. When Beast Wars' first season (26 episodes) was over, the wait for the next batch of new episodes was too long. For this Takara made a Japanese exlusive toyline and cartoon that's called "Beast Wars Second" in English fandom. Toyline comprised of some completely new or modified molds, but mostly of repaints from Generation 2 and previously unreleased, in Japan, Beast Wars molds.

Takara released a basic sized toy of Lio Convoy in "Robotmasters" line. This smaller version isn't as flimsy as the original mold and has almost all the same gimmicks. Still, for some reason I prefer the original mold, but I know people who like the Robotmasters version more. Here's comparison pictures to help if someone's wanting to buy Lio Convoy toy, but can't decide.

Beast Wars, Fuzors
Fuzors were the first bigger change in Beast Wars line. Fuzors were an amalgam or fusing of two animals. Some of the toys were quite nice, some pretty awful abominations. You can decide which is which. There were only basic and deluxe sized fuzors.
