| Over the last several years, we have been blessed with the traditional material to create and re-create the sacred instruments used by our ancestors. Unlike popular belief, we do not take a bird's life in order to obtain its feathers. A live bird not only yields more feathers throughout its lifetime, but he/she also provides companionship and affection. We have compiled this portfolio as a way to thank those who have helped in the preservation of our ancient culture. We will continue to share our traditions with those who are here and those who are yet to come. This art work needs to be shared and respected. It needs to be in the presence of those who have helped us out One Plume At A Time. Thank You. Gracias. Tlazokamatli. Additional traditional material (i.e. molted feathers, shells) can be sent to the address below. "As the natural environments disappear, so do the Indigenous peoples". Take care. Xalxayotl - M.
