Welcome to the Marge's Home Page - we're glad you're here.
We developed these pages in repsonse to requests from the community for
more information about our plans for 1758 n. Sedgwick. As you are
probably aware, we have appealed the decision of the Liquor Commissioner to
deny an incedental liquor license for this address. We also object to
the Alderman's proposed downzoning of the address.
Are you in favor of a new restaurant at 1758 N. Sedgwick? Here's what
you can do to help:
1. Come to the Community Meeting at The Old Town Triangle Center 1763
N. North Park Avenue at 7pm on next Tuesday October 28, 2003. You need
to attend to vote in favor of the restaurant. Join us at 5pm at The
Old Town Pub for pre meeting refreshments and munchies.
2. Cast your vote to the Alderman to express your opinion in favor of
the restaurant and against the downsizing. A ballot is
on this website here.
3. Sign (and have lots of other people sign) a petition to the
Alderman in favor of the opening. Again we have included a sample copy on the
website here.
4. Stop by Marge's this Sunday afternoon from 12-3pm and say Hi. We'll
have letters and petitions to sign.
Listen to Rick Kogan's radio show (WGN 720am) this Sunday (10/26) at
7am. Rick will be interviewing the new owners Pam and Andreas on his
show. Tune in.
