Asterisking and storybooking (or prose, as it's sometimes referred to as) are two methods by which roleplayers can act out scenes between characters, whether as few as two, or as many as a large group (such as Craven's annual OMGWTFBBQ). There's no universal method of roleplaying, and no one method is far preferred over another; it's all a matter of personal preference and what you, the writer, are most comfortable with. Having said that, the following buttons have been designed to help let other players know just what exactly your preferences are:

If you see either of these icons, this means that the player does asterisk/storybook, so you should feel free to go ahead and intiate that type of roleplay if you're comfortable with it.
