BUCKLE UP OR PAY UP ! ...... WHEN CELL-ING DO A PARK-ING WEATHER BULLETIN for Thursday 9th July 2009, courtesy Airport Met Office. The Eastern Caribbean Forecast valid up to 8 am tomorrow. A trough system is affecting Hispaniola. It will give rise to cloudy spells with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms today. Meanwhile a second trough system will generate a few cloudy spells with scattered showers to the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico and to a lesser extent the Leeward Islands today. Further south, an active tropical wave is approaching the Lesser Antilles. It will generate cloudy to overcast skies with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms to Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and the southern Windward Islands later today. Until that time skies will be partly cloudy with widely scattered brief showers. Later tonight and early Friday showers and thunderstorms associated with the tropical wave could spread to the Leeward Islands. Winds: ENE-ESE at 12-17kt with higher gusts in showers. Seas: Slight - moderate waves 1.5m/5ft. Barometric Pressure: Near normal.
