| A.W.E. (Acoustic Worship Experience) definitely walks the line between the realm of progressive bluegrass and the larger world of pop music. The name itself has been somewhat misleading, however, since the group's inclusion of electric bass and 5-string electric violin. Though all members are rooted in traditional bluegrass and country styles, the focus of A.W.E. is much wider. While songs are included from contemporary bluegrass writers such as Ronnie Bowman and Chris Stuart, material is also featured from contemporary Christian artists such as Rebecca St James, MercyMe and Jeremy Camp, with an eclectic overall sound best described as somewhere between Nickel Creek and Jars Of Clay. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
