| RMS Titanic "When anyone asks me how I can best describe my experience of nearly forty years at sea, I merely say uneventful". "Of course there have been winter gales and storms and fog and the like, but in all experience, I have never been in an accident of any sort worth speaking about. I have seen but one vessel in distress in all my years at sea......" "I never saw a wreck and have never been wrecked, nor was I ever in any predicament that threatened to end in disaster of any sort." From a presentation by E.J Smith, 1907. On April 14th 1912, the RMS Titanic sank with a loss of 1500 lives..... one of which was the Master; Captain E.J. Smith. |

It was having 4-stroke Hansin Diesel Engine of 6000 Bhp @ 180 rpm. After that joined on 25th December 2001 in M.S. Chang Jiang Bridge, container vessel of 3740 TEUs managed by K-line Ship Management, Japan and signed off from there on 12th December 2002. The vessel is really very beautiful and though I was there for around a year but I enjoyed the time very much.........Compliments were good though it was a vessel with Multinational officers and crews. Everyone was too much friendly............... |
