The North West
Model Aircraft Club (N.W.M.A.C.) formed many moons ago and has been based
at the disused "Derry City Council" dump at New Buildings, approximately
8km's from Derry on the A5 ("Derry to Dublin" road). |

Facilities include: Pit Lanes Car Parking Club House N.W.M.A.C. are affiliated to and and are active participants in the British Model Flying Association (B.M.F.A.), the national body governing our hobby. The clubs aim is to promote Radio Control Aeromodeling as an enjoyable and safe hobby for all. The club will always attempt to ensure that all newcomers to the sport are properly trained in the flying of models in accordance with the national bodies' scheme, i.e."Up and Away" B.M.F.A. leading to SILVER and GOLD achievement standards. Club members enjoy virtually unlimited access to our superb flying site throughout the year and are issued with a key allowing access to the flying site. We fly all year round, mainly weekends in winter and most days and evenings in the summer.
