Northside Army Junior ROTC
Motivating Young People to Be Better Citizens

  Army Junior ROTC is a character and leadership development program. It involves classroom work, leadership labs, and extracurricular programs to achieve its mission.

   JROTC concentrates on making the student a confident, productive member of society. It teaches responsibility for self and others.

  JROTC instills the values of Integrity, Selfless Service, Honor, Courage, Duty, Loyalty and Respect.  Cadets are encouraged to realize their full potential through opportunities to be a responsible member of a team, and as the cadet progresses, to be responsible for leading teams.
Course offerings include: Leadership, Life Saving/First Aid, Geography, Military History, Community Service, Physical Fitness, Financial Management, Map Reading, Marksmanship, Citizenship, Rapelling, Career Exploration and U.S. Constitution.  For details on what is covered during each year of the course see the course descriptions link.  See the section concerning Leadership Education and Training for specific course descriptions.
