| The only other team besides the Rangers to sweep their games this week was Dallas. Unlike the Rangers who were all goals all the time, the Stars went 4-0 because of stellar goaltending.
Rick DiPietro was between the pipes for all 4 Dallas wins. His best performance of the week was against Washington where he registered a 37 save shutout masterpiece in a 1-0 win over the Capitals.
DiPietro turned aside over 95% of the rubber sent his way and never allowed more than 2 goals in wins over the Senators, Avalanche and Flyers. |

| For the first time in PHL 3 Star history, two teammates have made the list in the same week.
As mentioned before, the Rangers offense was dominant this past week. Riding shotgun for #1 star Ryan Smyth, was Olli Jokinen. Jokinen was put on Smyth's line for the first time at the beginning of the week and the chemistry was evident right from the get go. Jokinen also recorded 14 points this week including 6 against the Red Wings.
I'm sure Ranger mangement hopes the magic continues between these two as the Rangers try to catch up to the Devils in the Atlantic.
