The MOMS Club is a non-profit support group just for you, the mother-at-home of today, interested in the world around you, wanting a variety of activities for you and your children, and proud of your choice of at-home mothering for your family. The MOMS Club supports Mothers of all ages, not just those with pre-schoolers.
Nationally, the MOMS Club has over 2,000+ chapters across the country (including four in the Newnan area) and over 100,000 members. We are the only international support group specifically for all at-home moms and we'd like to have you as a member too!
In the Spring of 2002, the Newnan-Shenandoah Chapter was formed. We were "sistered" by a rapidly growing Newnan chapter.
Today, our chapter has almost 40 members and is always on the lookout for other Moms who want to "get out of the house!" If you are a stay-at-home Mom, work from the home, or work part-time and would like more information on MOMS Club and our Chapter, please contact us via email or at the contact information listed below!
We feel that being a stay-at-home Mother shouldn't isolate you, so you may bring your children with you to any activity.
We look forward to meeting you and your children!
We try to have activities to suit almost any interest! Our activities change as member interest changes. Please suggest things that you would be interested in.
~ Monthly Meetings--We have a business meeting monthly. We have speakers, discussions, children's crafts, and other fun programs.
~ Mom's Night Out--This is a monthly getaway for Mom! We go to restaurants, movies, pottery painting, bowling, and more!
~ Playgroups--Our playgroups are a great place to make friends for both you and your child. These age appropriate groups meet once a week.
~Meals to Moms--We provide support and meals to moms in need. If you have a new baby or an ill family member,members are there to help and support you.
~Newsletter-A monthly newsletter is emailed to you, in order to keep you up to date on activities as well as local events, helpful parenting ideas and advertisements.
~ Service Projects--This is a great way for us to "give back" to our community. We have had fund raisers, clothing drives, and more. The proceeds from these benefit needy children and their families or local charities.
~Field Trips--Once or twice a month we take a field trip to local attractions including the zoo, Callway Gardens, Imagine It and many other fun places for children.
~ Other activities that we take part in are park days, scrapbooking clubs, children's craft days, recipe and coupon swaps, weight loss/ walking groups, and more.
All but one of our activities (Mom's Night Out) are held during the day, when stay-at-home Moms need the support most.
