Marine ply deck, hardwood rudder and centreplate
A 120lb iron drop keel is still used in some, most
use the wooden centreplate making a trapeze vital
due to the large sailplan & narrow beam. (right)

The wooden plate reduces stress on the boat,
and many are still competitive after 25 years.
