We are a small Jewish group in Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas. Formerly, our kehilah was named as Bahamas Jewish Congregation, however, as there is another congregation in Freeport, Grand Bahama, we considered the name was not actually appropriate and it was changed into: Nassau Jewish Congregation We are affiliated to the Union of Jewish Congregations of Latin America and the Caribbean (UJCL. org) If you are visiting New Providence or Paradise Island, during the Jewish High Holidays 5767, we will be pleased to welcome you to our services.  Celebrate with us the year 5767. We will have our services at the New Providence Community Center at the junction  betwen Blake Road and J.F.K. Drive, approximately 1 mile East from Pindling International Airport.

Every two weeks we gather the kids to have a session of Jewish Literacy as preparation for their Bar Mitzvah. There are two small groups:  one for small children (ages 6-10) and the other which is for the much older ones: Bar Mitzvah: These are the provisional dates of classes: September 09               October 07/21 November 11/25           December 09 January '07 13/27        February 10/24 March 10/24               April 14/28 May 12/26                  June 09

Events: Aaron and Emily Hoffer's Bar Mitzvah on December 15th, 5 p.m. Services will be led by Chazzan Gonzalo Vega, of B?nei Israel, Costa Rica. Chanukah party: to be announced.
