Carter and Connelley are inspired and creative singer-songwriters and dedicated activists. Now calling Southern Illinois our home, we have made our pro-environmental rallying cries heard nationwide. Thanks to our fantastic audiences, our songs and live performances have gained much critical acclaim. We have been dubbed "Illinois' pre-eminent folk warriors!" We tour the Midwest from northern Wisconsin and the Michigan UP down south to Arkansas, Tom's beautiful native state. Curt grew up along the Kankakee River in Illinois. Hence, we write about the Ozarks, rivers, forests, prairies and magical people and places we have known. We boys like to say it's "environmental music with a message."
