On Winning Streak, two contestants competed against one another to spelled words in a desired category from a pool of 16 letters from the alphabet.
Each letter had a different poiont value. A player won the points and the letter by successfuly answering a question. The first person to complete a word won the game, and avanced to the money board
, where he or she formed words using letters chosen at random. The prize money doubled as each letter was selected. The game continued until either a player quit, thus securing all acquired winnings, or failed to form a word using all letters selected.
