| Our home is picturesque Lake Nagambie which is located in the Goulburn Valley, just one and a half hours pleasant drive north of Melbourne via Seymour. The Club was founded after a few interested people decided that after a 30 year absence, Nagambie was due for a return of colourful sails on the water. BUT, it is possible that there will be someone out sailing EVERY WEEKEND, weather permitting. Check with the Commodore or Committee Members for details.. Fee Structure Joining Fee: $10.00 Annual Subscription Fee Family $40.00 Single $30.00 Student (18-25 years) $25.00 Pensioner $25.00 Junior $15.00 Associates $15.00 As the Club is still in it's infancy, there is no organised racing as yet. Hey! you gotta crawl (swim??) before you can walk right?? The hard working Commodore, (The Fossil), produces a regular Club Newsletter called"THE COCKLESHELL GAZETTE" which will be available on this site for MEMBERS ONLY, hopefully in the near future.. | NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS... The "new" Corsair has been getting a workout since it was purchased. Barry says the mainsail has a bit of a belly in it but hey' it will fit in with some of our more "mature" rotund members. Ha ha ha. We now have our own area in the Boatshed. This is absolutely fantastic and a credit to all concerned. This gives the club a "permanent" Home with cover for meetings and storage. There will be a PARTY arranged for the 1st of DECEMBER at REGATTA HEADQUARTERS.. Trish is to supply further info so it can be advertised on this site. An OFFICIAL OPENING of the new facility will be held on the 16th of DECEMBER. Keep checking this site for information. A special thanks to the Committee members and other people who quietly put so much into the formation and daily operation of the CLUB. Without the help of so many people, the CLUB would still only be a dream..... |
