This is an unpublished photograph of The Grapes Inn. The pub was situated at 103 Bradshawgate, Leigh,
which is now the site of Pramlands. The pub closed down in 1957/8. At the time, it was the only Burtonwood pub in Leigh, and was the first pub in the town to own a jukebox.
This is also a previously unpublished picture. The scene is of a mayqueen (circa 1954) taken of the children that lived in the Lord Street area of Leigh.
