Clarification |
|
We wish to
clarify that an article in the January 2002 edition of
4x4 Magazine has
misreported that the Land Rover Owners Club of Malaysia
has not yet been registered. Please note that our club has
been officially registered with the Malaysian Registrar of
Societies since 18 of February 1998.
See a copy of the constitution here. |
|
|
|
LROM is registering it's own
domain as follows :

Please feel free to visit the
beta site here
to test the feel of it. |
| We
thank Stuart Garrow for the excellent efforts he has put in to it
for the past few weeks. |
| The
design concept is what he calls "content management" where members
can add articles themselves and committee members with administrator
passwords can manage the site without depending on the webmaster for
every change.
Remember we all volunteers, so if you
would like to volunteer your time into helping develop this new
website, please contact

Sg. Dua Trip
25th May 2002 |
|
In view of the LROM Clinic 4 being postponed till
September, the Committee has decided to have this Sungai Dua Trip as
the next official LROM event on Saturday 25th May 2002
This will take advantage of the
long weekend which covers Wesak day and Prophet Mohamed's birthday .
The trip is considered as hard core. At present, we have already got
8 Vehicles and the limit for the trip is 10.
As the weather has been quiet wet recently the
club committee has decided that the minimum equipment for the trip
is: ·
A winch, · Mud tires, · Straps
A pair shackles and 2 Garbage bags (water proof heavy duty
sacks) As per normal operations, please bring your own food, camping
gear, tools, and other items necessary. Rain protection is a must
too.
The Closing date is 15th May 2002
All those who are interested,
please email or contact the event subcommittee : Rashdan at rashdanz@pd.jaring.my
or 012- 2133 214; or contact Shah at 012- 2877 484 or Razif at
016-369 3828

Another successful committee meeting.
When are YOU going to attend it? |

Clinic 4, Technical Class - September 2002 |
|
LROM Technical Class has been postponed
till September 2002.

It would be a
“training camp” event to brush up driving, recovery, camping and
other off road skills.
The venue is still to
be confirmed. Hakim has spoken to FRIM (Kepong) for use of their
facilities (campsite, lecture theatre, toilets etc). A site visit is
planned. Other venues are being considered, but will preferably be
close to KL to minimize travelling time.
The full details will
be confirmed by the May meeting. The club main committee will run
this event. |
