..IT'S A GIRL..!!..

..Ronnie's 8th grandchild and 4th granddaughter..Elizabeth Noelle Sellers born Dec 18 2005..

..Wendy believes her dad sent this baby girl..got up there and said look..she's been waiting for a baby for a long..long time..can't you do something..??..the baby is due to come home today exacatly at the time Ronnie passed..

..Wendy also said her dad would be talking to the guys at work..saying..I'm going to have a new grandchild..they'd say oh your daughter is having a baby..he'd say no..but somebody is..!!..

..yup..that was Ronnie..

..Ronnie is buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmington NC at the corner of Shipyard and 17th Street on the 17th Street side..

..you enter on 17th Street and go to the right into the little circle..he is on the left side of that circle if you go left upon entering the circle..about 1/4 of the way around..there is a temporary marker and generally flowers..a flag..pictures..I live right near there..if you can not find it feel free to call me at 392-5849..

..Around Thanksgiving Ronnie started mentioning he wanted a live tree..he had even taken me to see some in pots..but it was not what he really wanted..I figured I'd just let him do whatever he felt like doing..we'd had a beautiful 6 foot fiber optic tree..a white stick tree..some smaller trees with the lights already on them..I do not think in forty years we ever had the same tree two years in a row..

..I always laugh when I recall the year Shawn was born on November 5th..Wendy's birthday is October 31..I said I am going to make a blue and pink tree this year..Ronnie was not too crazy about that..but when we put the tree up I put on the pink..blue..silver..gold and white ornaments only..when done I told him to take a good look at the tree..was he surprised..!!..

..The only thing I did say was not to get a tree so big it went halfway across the room..I remember coming home one year and seeing a tree up to the eaves..one of our trees is a sanddune at Carolina Beach..!!..

..I never even said a word about all the needles on the floor and patio..

We went to pick up some ornaments..he wanted glass ones..there were not many left..he got what he wanted having to accept a few plastic ornaments..no clear tree lights for him they had to be the mulit-color ones..we went home and he decorated his tree..I said this is probably like one he remembers from his younger years..

..before the kids came he found candy canes and put them on the tree..now everything was perfect..

..I had commented that this year Ronnie was like a child at Christmas..

..I had bought him a book called Off The Beaten Path for when he retired..I had just asked him could I go ahead and plan a trip..

..we really miss Ronnie a lot..

..Ronnie's Spicer lines go back to 1614..the book about the Spicers is back in print..A novel (Heart of the Blue Ridge) was written about Ronnie's Spark's line..a movie was made and then re-made about the book..there may even be a link to Daniel Boone..regretfully I did not ask the man who could have told me until it was too late..
