Buffy the Vampire Slayer Last Updated: 7th September 2007

"In every generation there is a Chosen One, one girl in all the world, one born with the strength and skill to hunt the vampires." Those iconic words began the legend that is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Resurrecting the genre-defying series from the 1992 movie, the show began in 1997 to critical acclaim under the watchful eye of Sarah Michelle Gellar as the show's leading lady. In 2003 it ended on a high, and television history came to a suitable conclusion.

Angel Last Updated: 7th September 2007

Seeking redemption for the sins of his past, the vampire Angel travelled to Los Angeles in 1999, and prepared to leave it in a place of glory in 2004. A spin-off from the incredibly popular Buffy, Angel did what many thought was impossible and rivalled it's parent show for the top place on the charts. Cancelled unexpectedly, Angel in many ways surpassed Buffy with it's thought out characters, darker tones and truly scary imagery. A true example of a show that is too fantastic to simply fade away...

Firefly Last Updated: 7th September 2007

You can't take the sky from me. When those words were uttered during this series' memorable opening theme, no one could have imagined what would come of the short-lived space opera Firefly. Aired and cancelled in 2002, the show built up a huge fanbase, rallying around to buy the show on DVD and begging producers and Whedon for a spin-off or a revival of some kind. In 2005, Joss managed to resurrect what was perhaps his greatest invention in a massive big-screen movie, Serenity, and truly proved that when he said he'd keep flying, he truly meant it.

Fray Last Updated: 7th September 2007

Section Complete

Melaka Fray is a young girl born in the former city of New York in the far future. There are vicious creatures in the future, known to the general populace as Lurks, and this young girl, a thief and runaway has battled them numerous times in the past, including once long ago in an encounter that lost her her twin brother. When a demon approaches her, she discovers the truth: she is the Slayer. The Chosen One. The revelation changes her life as Fray goes up against unspeakable evil in this epic eight issue limited series created by Joss and Karl Moline in 2002.

Buffy: The Animated Series Last Updated: 7th September 2007

Perhaps it was too good to be true. This now defunct project was birthed from Joss' desire to revisit the world of Buffy in animated form. Coupled with Jeph Loeb, the executive producer of Smallville, Joss gave the go ahead for a five minute pilot presentation and a series of character designs to go ahead. The presentation used the voices of several of his original cast, including Anthony Stewart Head, Alyson Hannigan and Nicholas Brendon, but as of 2005, the series, and it's premise, are no more.
