I have decided to upload my photos to this page so 1) test how quickly I can put together a trip page and trip report, and 2) to test out my new camera. The ultimate goal will to put together a trip report for my student's trip to Anaheim in a few weeks. All feedback would be greatly appreciated so MAKE SURE TO SIGN THE GUESTBOOK EVERYTIME YOU VISIT (provided something has changed) so that I can assess what is working and not.  Thanks!

Disneyland's 50th Anniversary Kickoff
Pre-trip planning
So I went ahead and actually booked a flight on Southwest Airlines leaving Wednesday morning, May 4th. Now some would say that 8:00 A.M. is WAY too early for a flight out of an airport. Especially when that airport is 2+ hours away from your house. All I have to say to them is . . . you're right! Hand me a pillow! zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I plan to have everything ready and to leave at no later than 5:00 A.M. to make the trek to Sacramento. Another question people may have is "Why Sacramento?" My answer . . . .stop asking so many questions and just accept things for what they are!

I purchased a digital camera to take with me as I plan on seeing some really cool things. Besides, it's Disneyland folks . . . get with the program! How often does Disneyland turn 50 years old?

As more happens I will let you know. Until then TTFN (to quote Tigger)

I am waiting for my membership confirmation for the Carolwood Pacific Society (a model train enthusiast club that is named after Walt Disney's home railroad.) The reason I am waiting to hear from them is that their next meeting is going to be held at Imagineer Tony Baxter's house. Who is Tony Baxter? He is only a very cool imgineer who designed Disneyland Paris, the New Tomorrowland at Disneyland, as well as many other neat things. Now, Mr. Baxter has one of the Mr. Toad's Wild Ride vehicles in his living room. That is how cool he is! The meeting is on Saturday so fingers crossed.

I have posted below my photos that were taken on Monday, April 25 when I went on the interview with a friend to meet
Diane Disney Miller (Walt Disney's daughter) and her husband, Ron Miller (film director and producer who did such films as the Herbie movies, Freaky Friday, The Absent Minded Professor, Shaggy Dog, and many other fun Disney favorites.) They also explained more about the Walt Disney Family Museum which should be opened in about 3-4 years at the Presidio in San Francisco!
