Back when that walkthrough was written, there was only the Japanese
version game, and many American players playing the import were having
trouble making out what to do next, since they couldn't understand the
language. That walkthrough was written for that purpose and that
purpose only.

The idea behind my other faqs and guides is similar.

ok ok. Anyways about Final Fantasy X. How do you beat the overdrive
Sin? Explain in your own words. I keep hitting him, casting hastega, and
using everyones overdrives but Sin's overdriver charges too fast for my
people. Do i need to build my Characters up, because i beat the first
seymour without and skills, or magics and just using healing items. Tell
me how to defeat Sin

That's the only solution.
Think about it. Sin will attack and kill all your characters in a set
time, and the strength of your attacks remain the same depending on
your stats. So that's a set damage in a set time. Which is the simplest
equation there is. If the set damage you are able to do in the set time
is not enough to deplete Sin's HP, then what else is there to do? The
set time you can't change, Sin's HP you can't change, the only element
in that equation you can change is your characters' stats. So change
it.
