We begin the year with the exploration into the creation of the British colonies and their fight for independence to become a new nation. We will continue learning about the creation of government by the establishment of The Constitution. We will study the Westward expansion era from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. We will hear the voices of immigrants and children that helped build our community during the Industrial Revolution. We willl end the year looking at the institute of slavery, study the causes that divided our states and sent our nation into the Civil War. We will see our country reunite by Reconstruction and see the growth of industry and immigration into the 20th century. We will see our nation become involved in international affairs and join alliances in multiple World Wars.
My basic rules are:
1. All students will respect each other.
2. All students are responsible for his/her actions.
3. All students will follow directions and school rules always.
4. All work must be completed on time.
NO LATE WORK IS ACCEPTED!!!
5. Students will not eat, drink, or groom in class.
6. Students must bring a 3 ring binder, paper, pencils, and pens to class daily.
