MR64MAGIC DEMOLITION DERBY MODEL DESIGN |
|
|
|
Have you seen my demo derby models on e-bay? Now you can see some of my favorite cars right here on my page. YOU CAN E-MAIL YOUR DEMO PHOTOS, ASK QUESTIONS, OR RECIEVE BIDS ON BUILDING YOU A CAR BY E-MAIL AT mr64magic@hotmail.com I will reply as soon as I can. Now a little about my cars... I've spent countless hours in designing and constructing life like demolition derby models. I construct my cars to represent all styles of demo cars from around the nation. I strive to always build the model as close to the real thing as possible and this has won me 1st place at model hobby shows. Using details, creativity, and my collage art skills from AISC. I'm still always looking on ways to improve my skills to recreate a great demo "WORK OF ART." My cars include all the demo magic. Several of my cars were some of the first on e-bay to feature life like demo details. You'll find cables, batteries, hoses, lines, padding, bars, chains, all thread, and headers just to name a few. My cars have been sponsored by real demo supporters over the last year or so, they invest themselves in my talent and in return I give them a great car for their home, office, or the perfect gift. I have constructed close to 100+ cars on and off of e-bay over the last year. So remember when you want something to be proud of as your local demo king, "DON'T JUST BUY A TOY CAR, BUY A WORK OF ART!" Here are a few pictures of a real car and a few of my favorite models. Some models are built from descriptions submitted by email, photos, or just my imagination. But if you want to know how to build one, I can only tell you this, like I learned in art school is that few artists reveal their techniques. I guess like anything worth while it takes patience and practice and talent and with a little training you can be the best. If there is a car your looking for, feel free to contact me. MY SITE NOW HAS ADDITIONAL FEATURES, BY PLACING YOUR MOUSE ON EACH PICTURE IT PROVIDES A CAPTION BOX AND BY CLICKING ON EACH PICTURE YOU CAN FIND MORE GREAT INFO AND PICTURES. THIS SITE HAS ALOT OF MY DEMO PICTURES BUT NOT ALL OF THEM. THERE IS ALWAYS STILL ROOM FOR A NEW ONE. WHO KNOWS MAYBE THE NEXT ONE YOU BUY WILL BE THE NEXT FEATURE CREATURE OF THE SITE. "STILL BRINGING YOU GREAT DEMO ART IN 2005!" MR64MAGIC |

This is a recent favorite for the simple fact that it's a 64 Impala. This car has my brother's demo 40 and our real life sponsors added to the car. It has some very real dent work, and all the great demo magic features. The 64 impala is techincally constructed by advice given from the IDDA on how to build one of these to preform well in a derby. For example reinforcing the X frame. This model has the features needed. It is a 64 what more can I say? I have a real restored 64 and that is why I am mr64magic getting this car one of my top picks. |

Here is something you won't find everyday. The very common and popular Square back caprice wagon from the late 70's and the 80's. This is built from three different kits to get all the pieces right. The photos were e-mailed to me to build this from. When the car arrived to it's owner 8E he said it was even better and more realistic in real life than in the pictures. |

I just love Imperials! I have a 66 chrysler and I know how strong the old chryslers are in real life. These are fun models to have in a collection. If you have demo friends and family they definately would know what an Imperial is all about. I guess that is why they are banned in some derbies. |

This a 70's dodge four door built as the JUNKYARD DOG. It came with the entire junkyard display and I even hand painted the rottweiler. This is one of my favorites because of all the time and creativity put into building a truley unique display. |

Here is one of the cars sponsored by Christy's of Indiana. The description of this car was sent to me and permission for the copying of their logo was also given. This 70's caddy came with the addition of the pit crew man and tractor for display. I like the color and logo work along with the tech and headers putting it as one of my favorite cars. |

I'm a big chevy fan and when you demo chevys the 71 to 76 is what it's all about. This a clean 74 ready for the demo. This had alot of life like features added to it. This was the second version I constructed after building a 75 that was similar to this one. The design was submitted to me by e-mail. The sponsors were varied but the overall car was basically the same. I liked the first one so much that I had to build two. |

Here is a little aftermath of my real demo car from 2003. This was a great car that I still have. The olds 455 is still running at 100% . I spent alot of prep time into this 72 Olds four door and it had some success from 5 derbies in 2003. It had a great KISS paint job all hand painted and airbrushed. If you would like to see the fresh car pictures along with the other cars from 2003 click on this picture to see more. |

THE 1967 IDDA Imperial. As an IDDA member I came up with the idea that IDDA and DENT should have their own promo cars. This particular car was sponsored by WAGON KILLER of the IDDA. I recieved his permssion to use his name and signature for the hand painted logos and art work for this one of a kind car. |
