The Battle of Cynthiana Reenactment Committee is planning the Battle of Cynthiana Reenactment 2007 to take place at the Elks Club farm [one mile northeast of Cynthiana, on US 62] on the weekend of April 11-13, 2008.

This event has consistently drawn many Civil War enthusiasts and tourists to our county and has brought statewide attention to the many Civil War sites in the Cynthiana area connected to the First Battle of Cynthiana, July 17, 1862, and the Second Battle of Cynthiana, June 11-12, 1864.

The purpose of the Battle of Cynthiana Reenactment is to honor the Civil War soldiers, educate the public about the Civil War in Harrison County, and to promote the preservation and interpretation of the Civil War sites in Harrison County.
