A tale of two sisters

There's a very special little story behind the didj featured on this page.........
It's about a bonding  friendship  between two sisters who only just met, after 30 some years of life.

Yes, that would be my sister, Jennie, and myself.

So here it goes...........
I was adopted at birth, into a very wonderful family, and I wouldn't trade that for the world!!!   I had a very normal life, with a sister and a brother, and a mom and dad (now, soon to celebrate their 50th anniversary), and a little ankle biting house dog.  I never knew what it was like to be "like" or look "like" someone else, but I never cared.  You can't miss what you never had.

At about 25 years of age, and close to having my own offspring,I set out to discover a  little about where I came from, and if there were  more people in this world like myself.

Long story short..........
I did find my family, and I have formed a friendship with them that is irreplaceable!!!  You see, I got the best of both worlds!  And about genetics???????  Suddenly I was surrounded with them!  Unbelievable, the little similarities, things you would never even think of.

Now, about this didj?
Even though I did find my family, and I have met my siblings, they all live clear across the country from me, and so visits are like every
"Once in a Blue Moon"
Well, this year, the blue moon fell on Halloween, and who was at my house????  That night  offered one of the most spectacular moon scapes I had ever seen, and what a great setting!  Jennie happened to catch it on film, and the minute I seen the picture, I knew if was very special.

The didj you are about to see is all about the very limited, but special time that Jennie and I have together.
That is not just a full moon, nor is it just a blue moon, but it is
