Egitto Express (ex- Espresso Egitto, Espresso Cagliari)
(Adriatica)
ABOVE: Egitto Express arrives at Brindis, August 1999, demonstrating her unconventional look and non-standard Adriatica livery. The former is the result of a considerable rebuilding in 1991. The latter remains unexplained.
ABOVE: Needing tug assistance, Egitto Express negotiates the tricky 180 degree turn in Brindisi harbour. Although completed in 1974, for a modern car ferry she has a considerable amount of sheer.
LEFT: Looking forward over the enclosed forecastle of the Egitto Express, during a southbound cross-Adriatic journey.
RIGHT: Plenty of deck space is a feature of the Egitto Express, although some of it is a bit restricted in width! This is a starboard-side view looking aft to one of the ship's pleasingly stylish twin funnels.
