| The V-Day College Campaign strives to empower women to find their collective voices and demand an end to the epidemic levels of violence and abuse on their campuses, in their communities and around the world. Through benedit productions of "The Vagina Monologues" on or around V-Day (February 14th) they raise money and awareness to stop violence against women and girls. The proceeds from these events are donated directly to local organizations. |

| FEBRUARY EVENTS 1. V-DAY FAIR: Included on this day will be information provided about the events throughout the month and information on the production of "The Vagina Monologues." We want to familiarize the students at UHM about V-Day 2006. 2. LUNAFEST: This event will be a great night! We will host a film festival of different movies and cartoons dealing with V-Day and stopping violence against women & girls. This event is free to all UHM students. $3 at the door without ID. We do ask for donations towards our goal of raising $6,000. Snacks & Beverages will be provided. 3. "CONDOM FAIR": Yes, the annual "Safe Sex at Manoa" fair will take place on Valentine's Day. We will be helping to host the event along with the students from the Health Education Center. This event is held at campus center, during the day to all UHM students. 4. "GIRLS NITE OUT": This event is geared more towards women, but guys we wouldn't shut you out if you felt like coming! So if you want to bring your boyfriend, a guy friend, your gay bestfriend or even your daddy, go on a head, but like we said this night is mainly for the ladies. We hope to have a a meet & greet with food & beverages, a free self-defense class, and another surprise that I won't mention right now. This event is free again to all UHM students and $3 to anyone without ID. *** Please Note*** Ticekts will be on sale at all events unless they are sold out All events are free of charge to UHM students & faculty Any non UHM students & faculty is charged $3, which will be a donation towards our goal of $6,000 And last, these events are to help raise money, so donations are gladly accepted! ***A CALENDAR will be provided to show exact dates, places & times*** |
