| Desiree remains in the entertainment industry. In 1995 she made her debut on P.R.'s tv in Telemundo's "Tu Melodia". There she was the host, having the opportunity to meet international artists such as: Shakira and Thalia. After that she moved to Venezuela because of her spouse's business engagements. There she briefly colaborated with the Miss Venezuela Organization. In 1997 she moved back to the island to co-host "A Fuego", a variety show. There she was for about three years. Desiree also owns two modeling acedemies. She worked for three years as producer of the Miss and Mister World Pageants in Puerto Rico. In April 2004, Desiree gave birth to her first child. She currently co-hosts TV show, "De Magazin" and produces the local Ford Model Pageant. |

| Desiree represented Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe Pageant, May 1995. The competition took place in Winhoek, Namibia. Desiree was chosen fourth runner up. That year, the first runner up was Canada. The winner was U.S.A.'s Chelsea Smith. |
