| The Miss Door County Scholarship Pageant |
| The Miss Door County Scholarship Pageant is a Miss America affiliated non-profit organization for woman ages 17-24 who reside, work, or attend school in the Door County Area. Areas of competition include: Interview- 25% Talent- 35% Lifestyle and Fitness- 15% Poise and Presence in Evening Wear- 20% On Stage Question- 5 % Each year, Miss Door County awards scholarship money to its contestants based on donations received from local businesses. This year a total of $12,000 was distributed among 5 contestants. The winner receiving a $5,000 in cash scholarship, 1st runner-up $2,500, 2nd runner-up $1,600. Other awards include: Miss Congeniality, presence and poise in evening wear, and top fundraisers. All participants received a $1000 scholarship. Door County was honored as the highest scholarship pageant in the state of Wisconsin five years in a row, (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007). |
