John Chao Scholarship Criteria:

STUDENTS

1.        All students need to have completed one semester of full-time study at CSU with a minimum GPA of 3.0 for Undergraduates and 3.25 for Graduate students and Law students. Students must attach a copy of CSU transcript.  

A letter from either an academic advisor or faculty advisor must accompany your application verifying/supporting your reasons for applying.

A detailed letter from students justifying why the scholarship would be important to them and how they feel it will impact their academic life.

   

FACULTY/STAFF 

2.        A detailed letter as to how the funds advance the academic mission of CSU and its relationship to China/Taiwan. A letter from the department chair or supervisor supporting the request and what the faculty/staff would do to enhance the collaboration between CSU and their Chinese/Taiwanese counterparts.

 

THE PERSONAL STATEMENTS SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

 

(A) Reasons for applying for the scholarship.

(B)  Specify what you will use the scholarship funds for.

(C)   Have you received any funding from CSU?______   If yes please specify._____________________________
