Most anyone who lived in the 1980s, and especially those who grew up during this classic TV era will recognize Mindy Cohn's face.
For nine years, she played Natalie on The Facts of Life, an NBC show that battled from the bottom of the rankings to becoming one of the longest-running sitcoms in history.
For some reason, I've always had an appreciation for Mindy. I think it was her unique since of humor on the show that brought laughter to me. I could associate with her -- even though I was a male. She was everyone's friend, but yet she wasn't the first person people came to when they needed her.
I'm kind of doing this page on a dare from some people at sitcomsonline.com, who are desperate to find some more things out about Mindy.
I don't plan on making this a "tribute" page or anything. I'd like it to be more insightful and interesting, and updated as often and as best as possible. I know she has done some charity work for Wendie Jo Sperber's organization, WeSPARK. She is also going to be the voice of Velma on the WB's version of "Scooby Doo." She still stays busy, but she is somewhat elusive in the news.
After some time off due to work, school, family issues and the like, I have done a bit of updating. My goal is to have more information up by July 1, 2003. You'll see a more noticeable difference by then.
