Last Meeting Update
The September meeting of the Ft. Myers Knife Club had a attendance of 16 members and guests.
This month's door prizes were a Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT) Model 8102 and a Bulldog
Doctors' knife W/Spatula. The winner of the CRKT was Mike Mikutis and the Bulldog knife went to
Dixie Smegal. An 50/50 drawing was not held and this ended Bill Cyphert string of three (3) 50/50 wins. Congratulations to all the winners, you too can be a winner of our monthly door prizes, 50/50 and/or raffles just simply attend one of your monthly FMKC club meetings.
The newly purchased club knives were displayed in their new cases. Discussion between members
was favorable, however minor changes will be made to further enhance the collection for display at our
future knife show next month...
Next Meeting: October 7th - Free Door Prize Drawing
Bring your favorite knives for Show & Tell and share with the members.

THE FUN OF COLLECTING
Have you ever been to a show, fleamarket, garage sale, or internet and seen a knife you know nothing about. Let's face it. It happens to us all at one time or another. Everyone has their own unique taste in collecting. Some like only Case, Marbles, Gerber, or American, while others may collect items that are different.
One such knife that I recently aquired is this old swing guard Robeson knife. I have to say that it is no Case Knife, which I do have. This knife looks like it may have been the forerunner for the Case Cheetah, but it is a slip joint where the Case is a lock back. It is 4 3/8" long. I did lightly clean the blade it had sharpening stone marks on it.
I have thumbnails showing this fine knife.
If you enjoy our club and collecting, please give me your ideas/photos of what it means to be a club member and collecting!!
IF YOU HAVE AN INTERESTING KNIFE / HISTORY THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH THE CLUB,
PLEASE SEND IT TO ME YOUR WEBMASTER - MIKE MIKUTIS.

2007 FMKC CLUB KNIFE
--CASE XX--
STAG TRAPPER
The 2007 Annual knife is a Case XX Bone-Stag Trapper - 2 blade. They are serial
numbered 1 through 30 with our club emblem embedded in the handle. The master
blade is deeply etched with multi-colored lettering. The member's cost for each
knife is $60.00. There are plenty left. A drawing was held at our January
meeting to determine who will
get serial-numbered #01 knife. In order to be included in the drawing your knife
must be pre-paid. Payment in full will be accepted any time before the drawing
at the meeting. You may pay in advance to the club's address if you can not attend
the June meeting. The club will mail your knife to your home address.

To date; eight (8) members have paid in advance and will be entered into the
drawing. Please remember that only 30 knives were made this year so get your monies
into the club before the knives are sold out. This year's knife is quite attractive
and the trapper pattern is highly collectible, so a word to the wise... After the
drawing for the #1 knife is held, distribution will be made for all others numbers.
The club will try to honor all your personal number choices, if possible.....
