My name is Mike Berhorst and a lot has changed in my life in the past year. I finished my administrative credential and am now working for Modesto City Schools as an assistant principal for their continuation high school. I miss my former students and athletes but don't regret the move to administration. Then, Christine and I had our first child, Mallory. She's the prettiest baby ever, of course! All the hard work is worth the joy she brings to our lives. My hobbies include my 1971 Mach I, lifting, and various home projects. I believe in the doctrine of Russell Irwin which is "work smarter, not harder." |

The Mustang was restored from the ground up by Ken Zander from Fresno. I found this car accidentally while looking at a 1970 Mach I at the Mustang Ranch in Fresno. Though the 71-73 body style isn't my favorite, this car was so clean I fell in love with it and haven't been disappointed in the purchase for a minute. Powering 'Sally' is a 4.6 liter out of a 1994 Crown Victoria. All the electornics, fuel injection, A/C, P/S, over drive, etc have been incorporated into this classic car. Although as pictured, the car is dirty, digital images don't do justice to the car; it's very clean inside and out. The car was built to be a daily driver and I'd like to dress up the engine compartment to make it a bit more appealing. The 3.00 rearend coupled with the overdrive allows Sally to cruise the freeway while getting over 22 MPG and giving it a decent top end. |
