Meeting Engagement

Trowa stood on the cold street alone, letting the wind blow past him. He looked at his watch, almost 23:30, he was right on time. Out of the darkness stepped Johnnie Une, looking at Trowa who stood in the pale light of the street lamp. "I see you made it."
Trowa said flatly, "Yes." Johnnie walked slowly towards him, "I came information, about the organizations next move, I thought the Preventers might be interested. All for a price of course."
Trowa looked slightly more interested. "I'm listening." Johnnie took a deep breathe, "Here is a map of the next location, they want to replace the weapons they lost, so they will be getting a shipment in. The commander will be handling this personally. I think you watch out for him."
Trowa took the map and slid into his coat pocket, "Thanks." Johnnie looked at the ground, finally saying, "How's Midii." Trowa looked back, "huh?" Johnnie said, "How is Midii doing?" Trowa said calmly, not breaking his steel cold expression, "She's been doing better, she was worried about you."
Johnnie said, trying hide his emotions, "I guess I should go and see her sometime. She's the only reason I'm helping you."

A second figure came out of the darkness, Trowa had heard it before, he looked and could recognize the figure as he came closer. "You don't look too happy to see me. I knew Trowa had a reason for sparing your life, a perfect soldier like him would have to."
Trowa watched the figure enter the light. Johnnie's eyes grew bigger as he looked at the commander. The commander looked over Trowa, smiling slightly as he looked over his uniform. It appears you can't stay off the path of a soldier. Well, don't you remember me?"
Ralph Kurt.
"I remember. Why are you doing this Ralph?"
Ralph looked at Trowa, "After everything that happened, I was trapped in this world, trapped in a world of peace. I was a soldier, it was I knew. I couldn't find peace or return to civilian life. I had to fight, had to against this peace. I was through being a puppet, now I'm in control."
Trowa said nothing, he looked at his old comrade. Ralph drew a pistol from his coat and aimed at Johnnie. "So Johnnie, you think these Prevents will go easy on you if you help them? Even after you shot one of them?"
Trowa reached for his pistol, Ralph turned slightly and took aim at him. "It seems we are at a stand off Trowa. I'll leave Johnnie to you if that is the case. Its all the same, this will all be over soon."
Kurt turned and disappeared into the darkness. Johnnie looked at Trowa, he still couldn't see any emotion on his face. He looked down and could see Trowa's fist clenched.

Captain Mitchell sat up late, he looked blankly at the flickering light of the T.V. He sat up most nights, he didn't go back to bed in order not to wake Sylvia. The pattern of the screen reminded him.......reminded him of the Epyon system. He could still see it.
The flickering patterns, heading into battle, all of the enemies on the screen, who was a friend who was an enemy. It seemed they all were enemies. The damned officer with the sunglasses that captured him, the doctors, the OZ soldiers, they were everywhere. Then out of the light he could see Sylvia, he couldn't stop the system, he could see her death, watch her die. Mitchell was breathing heavy, he could feel a cold sweat against his skin.
A sweet voice call out to him, Mitchell could feel her hands against his shoulders. His eyes focused and he could see Sylvia standing over him. "Are you all right, you were yelling." Mitchell stood up, and touched Sylvia's soft cheek. "I'm fine now." He stood up slowly and turned off the television. He was glad that Sylvia was all right and was all in his mind. He looked into her eyes, she had the same brave look as her grandfather did. Mitchell felt like he didn't deserve having someone as perfect as her be with him. Sylvia didn't have to say a word, he knew she loved him.

Johnnie woke up early, and looked at the unfamiliar surroundings. It took some time to realize where he was. Catherine walked into the room, she said in her normal cheerful tone, "I see that your up early. Trowa should be having breakfast, why don't you join him." Johnnie nodded slightly, "Yes, thank you."
Trowa had been getting ready for work, last night he had already forwarded the information to Preventer headquarters. It would only be a matter of time.

To be continued.
