Flint, Michigan-October 3-The Michigan Admirals have announced that David Johnson has been named defensive coordinator for the 2009 season. Johnson brings expereience both as a player and coach. He played for Coach Mathews with another semi pro team and was a great indoor football player most recently in the CIFL. David played collegiately at Central Michigan and was a longtime assistant coach at Flint Carman-Ainsworth. "DJ brings a new approach and a fresh face to our defense", said Mathews. "This is only the first of many moves in regard to staff and players".
