Mereta Texas!

Mereta, also known as Fisherville and as Lipan, is near Farm Road 1692 and Lipan Creek 18 miles east of San Angelo in eastern Tom Green County. The town, named by it's postmaster in 1902 for twin sisters Meta and Reta Burns, has a gin, 2 stores and a school in 1904, when the town plat was made. It's population fell from 75 in 1914 to 30 in 1925.....
