THE MIDDLE EAST PEACE PROJECT
The Middle East Peace Project (MEPP) was founded in 1989. MEPP is a coalition of Palestinians, Israelis, Jews, and other Americans concerned about the Middle East. Our goals are to promote dialogue, education, and activism against Israel's military occupation of the internationally recognized Palestinian territories of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and to encourage a just peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
Over the past decade we have sponsored public forums, cultural events, and demonstrations. We have met with congressional staffers, held letter-writing parties, spoken to numerous community groups, and made several TV and radio appearances.
We work in coalition with various organizations, but the ongoing work of MEPP has been carried out by a dedicated group of individuals who have continued to meet monthly to plan and carry out the group's activities.
