In Loving Memory

They come from all over; from the dark alleys of the dirty cities where they carved out their existance digging in refuse bins and drinking from stagnant puddles to the lovely suburban homes with the white lace curtains and the white picket fences where they were cherished and never knew a harsh word or what it was like to be hungry or cold.

They may have been kicked, yelled at or otherwise mistreated or neglected and they may have been someone's baby that somehow became lost or displaced due to a death in the family. They come to us most often without a known history and we watch them with experienced eyes and look into their hearts and souls and try to unlock their secrets and work with them through their struggles.

We have seen things we never wanted to see.

Our goal is to give them a happy ending; it is a labor of pure love. We are thrilled with our successes. Nothing gives us more pleasure then giving them a hand up and sending them to a new home where they will receive more love and for some of them, to have comforts they never knew before.

Unfortunately, we don't have magic wands. Not all the cats that have come through our doors have been able to go on to their own homes. Despite our best efforts and our tender care, some have gone on to wait for their foster parents in Heaven. We have dedicated this page to those cats. No matter what their past; we offered them love, comfort and a gentle touch for the time they were with us.

We feel blessed to have known them; for every single memory has become a part of us.

Now we meet to take them flowers

and only God knows why

for what's the use in pressing palms if you won't keep such love from harm?

It's a cruel world; we've so much to lose.

And what we have to learn we rarely choose.

We'd also like to set aside a special place for our foster babies that did find happiness in a new home and are now waiting in Heaven. To their families we extend our most sincere condolences and we thank you for giving them a second chance.
